fastest clash of clans troops ranked from best to worst based on speed
Here the troops are classified based on speed and based on that you can choose which troop to play.
These are classified into following :
- Normal Troops
- Heroes / Pets
- Temporary Troops
Goblin the fastest troop so far ?
- One of the fastest on-ground troops is considered as Goblin which comes in village troop or Normal troop category. Many players use these troops for looting the resources from other players' bases.
- In Spite of low health points goblins got way more speed then you think, the name itself defines, they meant for looting.
Minion (fastest air troop) :
- Minion falls into the same category as of goblin but it is an Air troop possessing the same speed
Miner :
- Miners are the sneaky shovelers burrow underground, pass beneath walls and pop up right next to their targets. These have the same moment speed as Goblins and others mentioned above.
Sneaky goblin :
- The Sneaky Goblin is a Super Troop based on the Goblin. It can be unlocked by boosting the Goblin when the Goblin is at least level 7, and when the Town Hall is upgraded to level 11 or higher.
- Sneaky Goblins prioritize resource buildings above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any resource buildings remain on the battlefield.
Lava Pup (spawned by Lava Hounds) :
- Lava Pups are fast, weak air troops. They are spawned in a circular spread when the Lava Hound has been defeated.
- They resemble Lava Hounds in appearance, but are smaller, and are made entirely out of lava.
- Lava Pups have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building.

Ice Pup (spawned by Ice Hounds) :
- Ice Pups are spawned when an Ice Hound dies in battle. Although they vaguely resemble their parent, the Ice Hound, in appearance, they are significantly stronger offensively but have only a tiny fraction of the Ice Hound's health.
- They are similar to Lava Pups in abilities, except they are able to slow down targets they hit just like the Ice Hound does - affected targets will have reduced movement and attack speed.
- Even though less Ice Pups spawn from the Ice Hound than Lava Pups spawn from a Lava Hound of equal level, they are generally more effective due to their freezing effect.
Wall Breaker :
- The Wall Breaker is the fifth troop unlocked in the Barracks. As the name suggests, Wall Breakers favor going after walls, dealing massive damage to them.
- The Wall Breaker attacks by locating the nearest protected (read: wall enclosed) building and destroying its protective Walls, blowing itself up in the process. It deals splash damage around its target and deals 40x damage to walls.
- Wall Breakers prioritize Walls above all other targets, and will completely ignore any building or enemy troop while even a single segment of Wall exists on the battlefield.
- If all Wall segments are destroyed, Wall Breakers become like any other troop with no preferred target; they will attack the nearest building to them regardless of type, and will turn and attack enemy units if they become aware of any nearby and can fight back against them.
Archer :
- The Archer is a female warrior with sharp eyes. She wears a short, light green dress, a hooded cape, a leather belt, and an attached small pouch. She has a quiver slung on her back, a gold short bow in her left hand, and a golden band on each of her upper arms.
- Archers have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building. However, if they become aware of enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes, or Skeleton Trap skeletons (either by being attacked themselves or by being near another friendly troop under attack), and can fight back against them, they will leave their previously targeted building and instead engage the enemy troops. Once all of the nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Archers will proceed to attack the nearest structure.
Valkyrie :
- She is a fierce warrior with orange hair, dressed in a long leather loincloth with matching leather brassiere and knee-high boots. She wields a massive double-bladed axe, which is about half of her size.
- Valkyries spin their axes around them as their method of attack, allowing them to attack multiple targets around them at once. They will run in between the buildings to do this when it is an ideal option.
Super Archer :
- The Super Archer is a Super Troop based on the Archer. It can be unlocked by boosting the Archer when the Archer is at least level 8.
- Boosting the Archer requires 25,000 Dark Elixir or a Super Potion, and doing so allows the Archer to be boosted for 3 days. The level of Super Archer you obtain from the boost corresponds to the level of Archer you have.
- The Super Archer is a long-ranged unit that fires arrows that are able to penetrate through multiple buildings at once, dealing damage to all of them at once.
Headhunter :
- Headhunters prioritize Heroes above all other targets
- The Headhunter's attacks have a Poison Spell effect
- Headhunters can bypass Walls to reach any targets behind them.
Slowest clash of clans troop is Balloon ?
Balloon :
- Balloons are "promoted" Wall Breakers that now attack from a hot air balloon. They drop bombs towards the ground with a large area splash damage, which can destroy a wide range of ground targets, but can be easily taken out by any anti-air buildings or air-targeting splash-damaging buildings (such as the Air Defense or Wizard Tower).
- Balloons have high damage for their housing space, but low attack range and rate. They also can't hit air units.
- When they are defeated, Balloons drop to the ground and explode, dealing relatively minor damage (as compared to the damage of their bombs).
Super Giant :
- The Super Giant is a melee unit with a very high amount of hit points for its housing space. Its Wall Buster ability allows it to deal extra damage (5x) to Walls
- Super Giants prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. This is true even if they are under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, heroes or Skeleton Trap skeletons.
Giant :
- Giants prioritize defensive structures above all other targets, and will bypass all other types of enemy buildings and troops while any defenses remain on the battlefield. Giants have a lot of health but are slow and low in DPS, so use them in groups.
- So giants are one of the slowest troops in the entire village but have high health points.
Ice Golem :
- Ice Golems are powerful tanking units with low damage but high hit points for the housing space they occupy. Their attacks slow down whatever they attack, reducing affected Defensive Buildings or units
Golem :
- The Golem is a Dark Elixir Troop unlocked once the Dark Barracks is upgraded to level 4. They are slow ground troops with low damage but come with massive hit points.
- When a Golem is defeated, it spawns two or three Golemites (depending on the Golem's level) which keep fighting, each carrying 1/5th of the Golem's stats.
Golemite :
- Golemites are basically a smaller and less powerful version of the Golem. A Golemite has one-fifth of the Golem's damage per second, damage upon death, and hitpoints.
- When a Golem dies, it splits into a pair or trio of Golemites depending on the level.
- Both Golems and Golemites do splash damage, similar to Balloons and Rocket Balloons, when destroyed.
Witch :
- The Witch is a splash-damaging Dark Elixir troop in the Home Village that is unlocked once the Dark Barracks is upgraded to level 5, which requires Town Hall level 9.
- The Witch shoots blue projectiles at their target and can summon dead warriors from past battles, the Skeletons. Only a certain amount of Skeletons per Witch can be summoned to the battlefield at the same time.
- As she has low hit points, the Witch is recommended as a support troop, and should be placed near the back of an attack. Don't group Witches together or a Mortar may wipe them all out. Plus the Witch's Skeletons are good distractions to occupy defense buildings.
